Privacy Notice

The personal information you provide to the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) will be collected by the Centre for Biosecurity under the Human Pathogens and Toxins Act and handled in accordance with the Privacy Act.

Why are we collecting your personal information? We require your personal information to track completion of online learning courses and issue certificates of completion.

Will we use or share your personal information for any other reason? Your information will also be shared with your employer, if you give permission, to provide your training completion records. Depersonalized statistics will also be used to evaluate the e-learning course effectiveness.

What are your rights? You have the right to access and request a correction and/or notation to your personal information. You also have a right to complain to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you feel your personal information has been handled improperly.
