Web Browser Requirements
We recommend that you use the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari for the best Moodle experience.
Using web browsers other than those recommended above could potentially result in problems using this website and or accessing its courses.
In general, you should enable JavaScript and Cookies on your web browser. You should disable popup blockers for this site. Detailed instructions for the relevant web browsers are below. Note that the instructions may vary from one browser version to the next.
Chrome
To complete the settings:
- Click the Chrome menu icon in the upper right corner and select Preferences... (Mac only) or Settings (PC and other).
- In the Preferences/Settings menu select Advanced > Privacy and Security > Site Settings.
- In the Permissions section select JavaScript. Toggle the switch to Allowed (recommended) to enable JavaScript.
- In the Permissions section select Cookies and site data. Toggle the first option to Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended).
- In the Permissions section select Pop-ups and redirects. Toggle the switch to Allowed to enable pop-ups.
Microsoft Edge
- Javascript is enabled by default for Microsoft Edge. To confirm that javascript is enabled you must do so via the Group Policy Editor.
- Click the Edge menu icon in the upper right corner > Settings > Cookies and site permissions on the left side menu.
- Select Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Toggle Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended) to yes.
- Click the Edge menu icon in the upper right corner > Settings > Cookies and site permissions on the left side menu. Look for Pop-ups and redirects.
- Review the list under Allow. Look for https://training-formation.phac-aspc.gc.ca.
- If https://training-formation.phac-aspc.gc.cais not on the list, click Add and add the site to the list.
Safari
To complete the settings:
- Click Safari > Preferences... > Security tab. Check the Enable JavaScript checkbox under the Web Content category.
- Click > Preferences... > Security tab. Under Accept Cookies, select Always or Only from sites you navigate to.
- Selective pop-up blocking is not a feature in Safari. Press Command-Shift-K to enabled and disable global popup-blocking.
Firefox
To complete the settings:
- Open a new Firefox browser window or tab.
- Copy and paste “about:config” into the Firefox address bar, and press ‘Enter’.
- On the next page, check the warning, then click the Accept the Risk and Continue button.
- In the search box, type in javascript, then find javascript.enabled row.
- Double-click anywhere within the javascript.enabled row to toggle the value from False to True.
- Refresh your browser.
- Click the Firefox menu icon in the upper right hand corner and select Options (Windows) or Preferences (Other).
- In the left side Options/Preferences menu select Privacy & Security. In the Browser Privacy section (top of page) select Standard to enable cookies.
- Click the Firefox menu icon in the upper right hand corner and select Options (Windows) or Preferences (Other).
- In the left side Options/Preferences menu select Privacy & Security. Scroll down to the Permissions section (near bottom of page) and ensure that Block pop-up windows is unchecked.
