- Identify the statutes and regulations that define your job and responsibilities within the Public Health Agency of Canada
- Understand the rights of people, as defined by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Privacy Act, and how they apply to your work
- Explain critical definitions when interpreting law such as shall and may; reason to suspect and reason to believe; and inspections and investigation
- Understand the attitudes and requirements of both regulated parties and public servants
- Identify the role of the courts in your work
