This course will introduce how drugs make their way to Canadians, following the lifecycle for a drug – from discovery through marketing and subsequent surveillance.
This course will examine the Health Products and Food Branch (HPFB) of Health Canada, providing an overview of the inner workings of the branch including the types of products regulated by the HPFB, the activities, as well as the organization of the HPFB.
Health Canada is a science-based organization which develops and enforces regulations that have a direct impact on the health and safety of Canadians. In this course, you will explore various ways that Health Canada addresses health and safety related problems under the federal (scientific and regulatory) legislative process.
The Consultation and Stakeholder Information Management System (CSIMS) is a new registry for stakeholder and citizen engagement at Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada.
